Phos/Copper brazing,whose joint has high strength(generally greater than 180 Mpa),suit for brazing copper and copper alloys with low plasticity,and unfit to be used in the impacted or curved state. Phos/copper filler metal has the self-brazing ability,so it can braze copper and silver without flux 102.Especially,it's fit with the brazing with torch,induction and resistance.The phosphor included in Phos/Copper alloy,together with iron,can produce brittleness compound,so this alloy can't be used to braze steel or other ferrous metals.
It can lower melting point,improve its wetfasness,and increase its strength and plasticity by mixing silver into Phos/Copper alloy.Except the high-temperature sulfur-gas,the joint of Phos/Copper alloys has satisfying corrosion-resistant property,so it can continuously work under 1500C.
The "Size segregation phenomena"will happen while Phos/Copper brazing is heated slowly,so,quickly heat is needed.The brazing seam will turn to deep dark after brazed,and then recover to the original color if it is dipped into vitriolic liquor of 10%.
The joint or socket connection with 0.05~0.13m/m gap is recommended,and it will get a satisfying effect.
